4th of July Part 2

Part 2 of our great weekend.

Saturday started with the Manawa parade.  I like that it starts at 10am so we aren't rushed out of the camper in the morning.  We have time to cook breakfast and slowly head out.  The parade is nothing special but something we bring the kids too.  Above is Coles cousin Nate and his two kids.  Kensington has seen them three days in a row in this picture and is buddy buddy with little miss Delaney.

1, 2, 3 and #4 was sleeping in the stroller.

Thats Oma's girl, hustling for candy.

This is the second year in a row that they handed Kensington a fishing pole.  Lets see if she can keep this streak going.

The music on this float was so loud, you could hear it coming from a long ways away.  The float tosses out Jell-O shots and it had everyone standing up cheering for one.  Not joking!  Hard to see but this is the Jell-O shot float.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Can you see a yellow dot flying in the air on the left side, right above the window, Jell-O shot coming at you.

and this is the after math of a kid getting a hold of a Jell-O shot...just kidding, but not really.

Remi got a stuffed animal handed to her and she wouldn't put it down.

Coles Aunt Jan and Uncle Jim throw a huge BBQ on Saturday around 4pm.  Its great to see everyone.  We only see this side of the family once a year so its nice to catch up with everyone.  However, when you have two very active kids and we brought our dog along to run loose, I was telling people jokingly that if you want to talk to me you have to come to me.  haha  Its true though.  They have a great big yard with two playgrounds, they blew up a bounce house, kid toys are everywhere, theres hot food in the garage, bubbles on the driveway, a pool with a slide out front, and they have a cute well manicured pond in front with a creek in the back.  Yes, theres a lot of people around but thats when things go bad.  So to sum it up, Cole or I had to keep a close watch on our kids.

Have you seen those water balloons where you can fill 30 at a time?  Well the kids capitalized on those.  We did about 300 water balloons that day within fifteen minutes.  That was fun to pick up, NOT!  Now they need to invent biodegradable water balloons.

I told her to go get her dad and this is the look I get.

They spy Uncle Klay.  Cole's brother randomly entered to team rope at the rodeo, so we are back at the rodeo for two nights in a row to support him.

This picture just cracks me up!

Going to the rodeo two nights in a row means this lady gets to go on the pony rides and the slides again, says dad.  Look how happy she is

and look how pissed this one is because she's too little to go down the slide.

Sunday we were invited to go tubbing down the Crystal River with Coles cousins.  It wasn't really relaxing, but it was sure entertaining.  Cole and his two cousins Jackie and Nate kept tipping over, but somehow always saved the beer.   The water was low so we had to maneuver around a lot of rocks and tree limbs.  It was also lovely to get away from the kids for a little while.

There is eight of us linked up here.

Someone made a comment that we looked like we were on the show Naked and Afraid.  Nice photobomb Jordan.

That was our 4th of July.  I miss it already.
